Current therapeutic strategies and activities for your child.

ChildSync provides specialized pediatric occupational therapy services to children from birth through adolescence. These services also include close parental support and education, with the provision of actionable strategies to support your child’s development.

ChildSync utilizes a Sensory-Motor approach to guide therapy sessions. A Sensory-Motor approach employs specific techniques for building a child's foundation in sensory processing and integration, self-care, gross and fine motor development, social-emotional development, and play. Through well-disguised play activities designed to target your particular areas of concern, the therapy sessions provide the "just right" challenge for your child, structured to enhance the underdeveloped skills of your child. In the initial screening and parent consultation, the areas of your child's development that require support will be identified.

I develop a treatment program based on clinical observations and/or a comprehensive assessment of your child's sensory processing skills, gross and fine motor skills, executive functioning skills, self-care skills, and more.  A treatment plan is based on these findings to help implement specific strategies with you through individualized, focused therapy sessions. In addition, an individualized home based program and activities will be recommended to give your child the necessary skills to successfully achieve the demands placed on them. This enables your child to be a confident and happy participant at home, in the community, and at school, through having these age appropriate functional skills.
